After fracturing is completed, the all-magnesium plug corrodes and dissolves electrochemically in saline formation water while the water-swellable rubber element hydrolyzes; under optimal 0.3% – 3% KCl brine the entire plug disintegrates within 7 to 15 days, with no milling or drill-out required. The wellbore is left fully open at full internal diameter to go on production immediately, reducing operation time, tool cost and formation damage. Every component — guide shoe, dissolvable center mandrel, dissolvable cones, split dissolvable slips, dissolvable retaining rings, water-swellable rubber element, self-locking ring, shear pins and releasing sub — is matched with the same-specification dissolvable fracturing ball to form a complete, dependable staging system.
